In my Product Recall Notice for Shot Quality I report on material rink to rink variation in the recording of shot distance. My simple solution is to use only road data to assess shot quality. Ken proposes a more sophisticated solution to observer bias in the recording of shot distance and presents shot quality information for teams and goaltenders for the 2009 season.
